ST. BONAVENTURE (1-1) vs. ROBERT MORRIS (1-2)
Tuesday, Feb. 17 – 1:00 p.m.
Marra Athletics Complex
TV: ESPN+

OPENING FACEOFF
The St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse team will debut on home turf when the Bonnies play host to Robert Morris on Tuesday afternoon as non-conference play continues. Both teams are coming off their first wins of the year as the Bonnies scored a 10-9 victory on the road at Binghamton this past Saturday while RMU won, 16-12, over Bucknell at home over the weekend as well.

CLUTCH COLE
Sophomore Cole Kucinski put together a day to remember in Saturday's victory, finishing his hat trick in the first minute of the second quarter. Kucinski, who entered the day with two career goals, scored five times in the win at Binghamton.

ASKIN IS ACE
Sophomore Jeremy Askin delivered a career day as well to help lead the Bonnies to their first win of the year this past weekend. He earned 12 faceoff wins to set a new collegiate-best. Last year, his best days came with nine faceoff wins at Le Moyne before totaling eight late in the year at Hobart. That came on the heels of a strong day for teammate Lad Harper in the opener at Bucknell. The Bonnies enter this week leading the Atlantic 10 and ranking 22nd nationally in face-off winning percentage (.575).

HOME AT LAST
St. Bonaventure began the season with back-to-back road contests but now will enjoy home turf for the next two weeks. After hosting Robert Morris this week, the team will be off until next Tuesday when Bellarmine visits for a noon tilt. The three-game homestand will then continue as Le Moyne comes to town on Saturday, Feb. 28.

FIRST WIN
Saturday's victory marked the first for new Bonnies head coach Brendan Storrier. He scored 75 wins in charge of Limestone and Mars Hill programs over seven seasons prior to taking command of the Bona program this past summer.

SERIES HISTORY
RMU leads, 3-0
Tuesday will mark the fourth meeting all-time between the two programs and second at the Marra Athletics Complex.

Robert Morris has won all three previous meetings, though each game has gotten closer in the past three seasons. In 2023, RMU took a convincing 15-6 win on its home turf before the Bonnies closed within 16-11 in 2024 at the Marra Complex. Last year, the Colonials handed the Bonnies an 8-7 heartbreaker outside Pittsburgh.

In last year's game, Benny Carter posted a goal and a caused turnover while Isaac Farmer made 11 saves in net. Two seasons ago, Patrick Shanahan scored twice and registered three points vs. RMU.

ABOUT ROBERT MORRIS
  • Robert Morris enters the 2026 season as the reigning NEC champion following a 2025 campaign that saw them go 11-6, capture the conference title and secure an NCAA Tournament berth.
  • In the 2026 NEC preseason coaches' poll, RMU was selected as the clear favorite to repeat, earning six of the eight possible first-place votes. The lineup features several key returners, including Calum Brennan, the 2025 NEC Tournament MVP who led the league with 49 goals last season, junior defenseman Owen Tapper, a First-Team All-NEC selection last season, and starting goalie Nate Fetcher.
  • The Colonials started the season with a 17-2 setback at No. 15/17 Johns Hopkins, then played another nationally ranked foe with a 17-7 decision in a loss at No. 9/9 Richmond before scoring the win at Bucknell last Friday.
