DAY 10 (October 26)

Day 10: Tim Winn Layup

Day No. 10 is for No. 11.

Tim Winn put together many marvelous performances over his Bonaventure career - including the 2000 NCAA Tournament game where he set the Bonnies' NCAA tourney assists record with 10 against Kentucky.

Pictured here in a Dec. 28, 1996 win at Arizona State (68-57) during his Bona debut season, Winn was a four-year floor general and a program-changing recruit for Jim Baron. Over his career, Winn guided the Brown and White to 66 wins, an NIT berth in 1998, an appearance in the Atlantic 10 Championship Game and a berth in the 2000 NCAA Tournament. An All-Atlantic 10 selection as both a junior and a senior, including first team honors and All-Defensive status in 1999-2000, he ranks 18th in all-time scoring with 1,407 career points. He sank 192 three-pointers, good for fourth in program history. Winn is also second all-time in steals with 319 and first in steals per game at 3.0. He stands third all-time in Atlantic 10 career steals as well. He earned a spot in the SBU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010.

DAY 9 (October 27)

Day 9: Glenn Hagan Jumpshot

The point guard of the 1977 NIT Championship team, Glenn Hagan established the career assists record for the program with 486 (4.7 apg), a total that still ranks fourth today. A team player, he finished his career with 1,396 points which ranks 19th all-time.

Hagan helped clinch the 1977 NIT Championship with clutch efforts in the postseason: He knocked in the game-winning shot for a win over Rutgers, finishing with 26 points. Hagan also posted 13 points in a win over Oregon as well as 14 points in the championship game win over Houston. The following season in the NCAA Tournament, he poured in 19 points vs. Penn. He was named to the Athletics Hall of Fame in 1992.

DAY 8 (October 28)

Day 8: Jim Baron, Norman Clarke, and Barry Mungar Meet at 1988 Olympics

In this photo, St. Bonaventure's legendary coach and former player Jim Baron poses with Bona alums Norman Clarke and Barry Mungar at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Both players represented their home nations as part of Team Canada that year.

A star of the early 80s, Clarke still stands 37th in program history in scoring with 1,097 points. Clarke ranks sixth all-time in career assists with 419, averaging over three and a half per game over his 116 contests. He averaged 10.5 ppg and 3.0 apg during the 1982-83 NIT campaign for the Bonnies, ranking third on that team in scoring and second in assists.

A tenacious interior player, Mungar, a 6-foot-8 native of Toronto, ranks 22nd in all-time scoring with 1,361 career points and 18th in rebounding with 651 boards. He helped SBU to 67 victories during his four seasons, including an NIT berth in 1983. Mungar was an Honorable Mention All-East selection as a sophomore. As a senior in 1985-86, he made First Team All-Atlantic 10 when he averaged 17.0 points and 8.0 rebounds. Following graduation he was selected in the NBA Draft fourth round by Washington. In 2005, he was selected to the SBU Athletics Hall of Fame.

DAY 7 (October 29)

Day 7: Shandue McNeil

One of coach Jim Baron's first recruits, Shandue McNeill was instrumental in the rebirth of the program. A prototype point guard, his game belied his 5-foot-7 height. He earned Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team honors in 1994. The following season, he helped lead the Bonnies to their first postseason appearance in 12 years, an NIT berth that resulted in an opening round win in the Reilly Center and he was named second team All-Conference following the season.

The only player in Bonnies history to lead the team in assists four straight seasons, he broke SBU's career records in both assists (616) and steals (281) and scored 1,049 career points. Today he is second in career assists and third in steals. He was named to the A-10's All-Defensive Team once and Academic All-Conference three times. In 2008, he was named to the Athletics Hall of Fame.

DAY 6 (October 30)

Day 6: 2019 Bench Celebrating

There's 6 days left until the "official" start of the Centennial Season, but the #Bonnies had their first action at The RC with an exhibition win over Alfred Wednesday night, 90-45.

What are you most excited about from this season?

DAY 5 (October 31)

With five days left in our countdown, we highlight the five consecutive victories scored by head coach Mark Schmidt and his Bonnies against Top 25 opponents between 2014 and 2018.

During that span, the Bonnies knocked off No. 19/21 UMass (78-65 on Jan. 29, 2014), No. 18/17 Saint Louis (71-68 on March 14, 2014 in the A-10 Tournament), No. 18 VCU (73-71 on Feb. 7, 2015), No. 13/15 Dayton (on the road, 79-72 on Feb. 20, 2016) and No. 14/16 Rhode Island (77-74 on Feb. 16, 2018).

All-time the Bonnies have registered 14 victories over teams in the national Top 25 with 11 of those wins coming at the Reilly Center.

DAY 4 (November 1)Day 4: 1968 Christmas Eve Newspaper Article

Now that the calendar has turned to November, Christmas is on the minds of some (and even on the radio in places).

Here's a look at a holiday-themed photo from the Christmas Eve 1968 edition of the Olean Times Herald featuring photos of all the members of the Bonnies that season.

The 1968-69 squad gets overlooked, coming between the undefeated regular season of a year earlier and the Final Four campaign of a season later. That team still featured one of the most talented rosters in program history, however, and won 17 games under head coach Larry Weise.

DAY 3 (November 2)

Earl Belcher (1981), Andrew Nicholson (2012) and Jaylen Adams (2018).

2000 NCAA Tournament Tipoff

Tyler Relph on Fans Shoulders After Game Winning Shot

3 days left to tip-off and we'll triple up today.

First and foremost, we spotlight our three Atlantic 10 Players of the Year - Earl Belcher (1981), Andrew Nicholson (2012) and Jaylen Adams (2018). Belcher averaged 24.5 ppg in his award-winning year - but that wasn't even his career-best. His 26.9 ppg the previous season still ranks second all-time in A-10 history. Nicholson, meanwhile, led the A-10 in scoring in his junior and senior seasons, powering the Bonnies to the A-10 title as a senior. Adams became Bona's all-time leader in career scoring by a guard and keyed an NCAA Tournament run in 2018, just two years removed from a share of the A-10 regular season crown and an NIT berth in 2016.

Our second moment comes from the 2000 NCAA Tournament - the unforgettable game vs. Kentucky. In this photo, we see the tip-off of the second overtime as the Bonnies battled the Wildcats to the brink before falling and ending a 21-win campaign. Patricio Prato led the Bonnies with 20 points; Caswell Cyrus (who played a game-high 49 minutes) hauled in 18 rebounds, just one off the program's NCAA Tournament record of 19 set by Bob Lanier in 1970 and Tim Winn handed out an SBU NCAA record 10 assists.

Our triple play closes with an image from 2008 and Bonnies guard Tyler Relph being carried off the RC court by triumphant fans following a victory. Relph, who led the nation as a senior by shooting 94 percent at the foul line and scored over 900 points in college, continues to serve the Bonnies name well in the basketball world as one of the game's elite trainers, working with some of the top NBA prospects around the world.

DAY 2 (November 3)

With two days left in our countdown, two posts today.

St. Bonaventure fans have always relished the opportunity to play Syracuse through the years - and a couple of victories over the Orange are some of the most talked about games in program history by the Bona faithful.

Here we remember Bona's home win over Syracuse - and rookie head coach Jim Boeheim - Feb. 12, 1977. In a season that would later end with the NIT championship, a signature victory along the way was a 91-84 decision over Syracuse. Essie Hollis was unstoppable, scoring 27 of his game-high 37 points in the first half as the Bonnies knocked off the Orange in front of a raucous crowd.

St. Bonaventure fans have always relished the opportunity to play Syracuse through the years - and a couple of victories over the Orange are some of the most talked about games in program history by the Bona faithful.

Here, we look back at St. Bonaventure's win in overtime, 60-57, at the Carrier Dome on Dec. 22, 2017.

On a night decided by defense, a charge drawn by Courtney Stockard and a blocked three-pointer by LaDarien Griffin were decisive. With the Bonnies clinging to a 58-57 lead, Stockard stepped in front of a driving Oshae Brissett and got the call with 12 seconds left. After the Orange fouled Jaylen Adams, he made two free throws to push the lead to 60-57. Griffin then blocked a potential game-tying shot by Howard Washington with six seconds remaining in the overtime.

Adams led the way with 23 points and 9 rebounds.

DAY 1 (November 4)Day 1: Newspaper Article

The first image comes from the April 11, 1970 edition of the Olean Times Herald and a recap of the "Bona Appreciation" night at the Pulaski Club in Olean. At top right, head coach Larry Weise smiles as he looks at a team photo from that year's Final Four squad - a season and team that will never be forgotten in Bona history.

The second image shows the Bonnies triumphant with No. 1 signs ready after winning the 1977 NIT Championship. That team of course stands alone as St. Bonaventure's lone national championship squad.

Finally, we see another moment where the Bonnies climbed to the top of the basketball mountain - the celebration in Atlantic City following a win in the 2012 Atlantic 10 Championship Game.
