Excelled as the team's ace, earning 2017 Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Year honors ... became just the second player in program history to earn All-American honors ... completes his Bonnies career after becoming the highest MLB Draft pick in program history ... ranks second in program history for career ERA (3.17) ... finished the season at 9-2 overall with a 3.04 ERA, striking out 90 in 100.2 innings of work while limiting opponents to a .214 batting average against ... set the program's single season wins record .... was the only A-10 pitcher to post a sub-2.80 ERA and hold opponents under a .230 batting average in 50 or more innings during the regular season ... led the Atlantic 10 in wins (9) and fewest hits per nine innings (6.5) and was second in strikeouts, innings pitched as well as fifth in ERA ... worked eight or more innings in five of his eight A-10 starts during the regular season while striking out seven or more in six of those starts ... named a finalist for the John Olerud National Two-Way Player of the Year ... Was a key contributor both on the mound and at the plate during his sophomore season, ranking second on the team with a .302 batting average while serving as the team's third conference starter for much of the year ... ranked ninth in the Atlantic 10 with a 3.02 ERA in 56.2 innings of work in 13 appearances including 10 starts ... doubled seven times and hit two home runs with 14 RBIs and recording a .378 on-base percentage ... smacked game-winning home run vs. Saint Louis (5/12) ... doubled twice and knocked in two runs in a win over Canisius (5/4) ... hit first collegiate home run, a two-run shot at Niagara (4/19) ... ran scoreless streak to begin the season to 29.0 innings, longest of any Division I starter, and finished with six innings of three-run ball at VCU (3/27) ... posted two hits at the plate at VCU (3/25) ... tossed four hitless innings of relief vs. Niagara (3/22) ... threw seven scoreless innings, scattering four hits in a start vs. North Dakota State to earn the victory (3/5) ... went 3-for-4 at the plate in a win over North Dakota State (3/5) ... named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week after throwing seven shutout innings, allowing just three hits with one walk and six strikeouts to earn the win at Savannah State (2/21). 

As A Freshman (2015)
Played in 23 games, starting in 20 … saw time as an outfielder and a pitcher … posted a .147 batting average with 10 hits and 11 RBIs in 68 at-bats …made 35 putouts with six assists and one error for a .976 fielding percentage … held a 3.65 ERA on the mound with a 2-1 record in 15 appearances, including seven starts … registered 35 strikeouts in 44 and one-third innings … allowed 20 runs (18 earned), 23 walks and 38 hits … tallied two saves ... threw a complete game shutout at Buffalo (May 5). 

High School
Picked up All-Western New York Second Team and All-State Third Team honors while at Cleveland Hill High ... earned Conference Player of the Year accolades after batting .530 with three home runs and 25 RBIs along with 70 strikeouts and 1.00 ERA as a senior ... owns the Cleveland Hill records for career strikeouts, single season strikeouts and single game strikeouts.

Son of Jerome and Kristin Phillips ... History major ... has three siblings - Tyler, Zachary and Cameron ... father played college football at Ithaca ... was named a 2016 Perfect Game/Rawlings Summer Collegiate All-American and the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL) Pitcher and Player of the Year after helping the Olean Oilers to a league championship in summer ball prior to his junior season.
