Cody Shimp is in his second season as a graduate assistant on the St. Bonaventure Baseball coaching staff. He serves as the pitching coach for the team.
Shimp was a four-year member of the program as a student-athlete, graduating in 2022. The right-handed pitcher made 16 appearances on the hill in a Bonnies uniform.
He has served as the Director of Team Operations and Player Development for the Olean Oilers of the NYCBL, helping the team to a Western Division title in 2023.
He also is currently the chair of the Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and is on the NCAA Board of Directors in that role.Â
Shimp earned his undergraduate degree in adolescent education and a Masters in sport administration.Â
