Attended school at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute in Buffalo, NY, where he posted a .417 batting average and a .598 on-base percentage and earned All Western New York First Team, NYSSWA All-New York Third Team, All-Catholic First Team and 2012 most valuable player honors as a junior.
