Appeared in 43 games with 41 starts at either shortstop or center field … hit .236 – the best among all Bona freshmen … over the final 22 games of the season, raised his batting average by nearly 60 points from .177, including reaching a season-high .271 on May 4 (Rhode Island) … hit .256 in Atlantic 10 play, fifth-best on the roster, and tied for the team lead with six doubles and one home run in conference action … was a perfect 3-3 in stolen-base attempts – all in A-10 play … had a season-high three hits as part of a 3-4 effort with a run scored against MAAC Champion and NCAA Tournament participant Canisius (April 30) … used that game to spearhead a three-game stretch in which he went 7-10 … drove in four runs with just one hit versus Bucknell (April 23), courtesy of a bases-clearing triple and bases-loaded walk … finished the year with an on-base percentage of .331 and slugging percentage of .343 … had two sacrifices against La Salle (May 11), tied for the most by a Bona player in a single game.

Hit .532 with four home runs and 16 RBI and posted a 1.37 ERA as pitcher as he earned Second Team All-State for Class C, First Team All-Western New York, First Team All-CCAA, CCAA Player of the Year and Silver Slugger Award.
Personal
Son of Bruce and Nancy Johnson … fifth member of his family to attend St. Bonaventure University on an athletic scholarship … one brother, Seth, and sister, Anneli, earned scholarships for swimming … two other brothers, Cael and Asa, pitched and still currently pitch, respectively, for the Bona baseball team … Seth is currently the head coach of the women's swimming team ... majoring in sports studies.
