Chris Lowe joined the St. Bonaventure University men's basketball coaching staff in August 2021 and enters his fourth season with the Bonnies during 2024-25.

During his first season with the program, the Bonnies finished 23-10 and reached the semifinals of the NIT. In 2023-24, Lowe helped the Bonnies to another 20-win campaign and a spot in the Atlantic 10 semifinals.

Prior to arriving at Bona's, Lowe most recently spent the past year on staff at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), serving as special assistant to the head coach. While he spent the 2020-21 season in the Lone Star State, he brings a wealth of Atlantic 10 experience to Western New York from previous stops in his basketball career.

He was a star player at UMass from 2005-09, graduating as the Minutemen record-holder in career assists with 678, a total that stands sixth all-time in conference history. During his collegiate playing days, he became only the seventh Atlantic 10 player to post 1,000 points with 600 assists while serving as the starting point guard all four seasons with the Minutemen. His work there earned him a spot as a member of UMass' 100 Seasons of Basketball All-2000s Team. In 2009, he was named by Sporting News as the Atlantic 10's "best passer."

His playing ability led him around the world after turning pro as he played professionally for eight years, first in the NBA G League during 2009-10 before moving on to play in Lithuania, Slovakia and Austria.

After wrapping up his pro playing career, he transitioned to the coaching ranks with a return to the A-10, joining the staff at Saint Louis as a graduate assistant while working on his Master's Degree. During his time with Saint Louis, Lowe helped the Billikens to a 46-21 record and an A-10 title in 2019.

Lowe has also been involved in charitable work, using basketball to bring new opportunities to youth in his hometown. He created the C-Lowe 14 Skills and Drills Foundation in his native Mount Vernon, N.Y., using the foundation to provide athletic, academic and scholarship opportunities to children in the surrounding communities.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in sociology in 2009 from UMass and his Master of Arts in Leadership and Organizational Development in 2020 from Saint Louis University. Â
