As A Freshman (2016-17) | Game-by-Game Stats
Earned 24 starts and played in all 32 games ... finished sixth on the team in scoring at 6.7 points per game ... also averaged 2.6 rebounds per game ... shot .478 (76-159) from the field and .797 (63-79) at the free throw line ... scored in double figures 10 times, the most by a Bonaventure freshman since Andrew Nicholson (21 times in 2008-09) ... in A-10 games, he averaged 7.4 points per game and made 49 percent of his shots from the field ... played 29 minutes and set his season high of 16 points, including a 12-for-13 performance from the free-throw line, in win over Fordham Jan. 14 in Rochester … dropped 15 points in win over Duquesne Feb. 25 ... scored 12 points with six made field goals against Dayton Jan. 3 … scored 10 points for his third double-figure performance and grabbed five rebounds against Buffalo on Dec. 3 … dropped 10 points and pulled down six rebounds against Central Michigan Nov. 22 … scored 10 points in his first game with the Brown and White against Saint Francis (Pa.) on Nov. 12.

A native of Nigeria who came to the United States in 2011 ... graduated from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Md ... as a senior there, Ayeni averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds per game, earning third team All-Conference honors in the Baltimore Catholic League ... his junior season, Ayeni helped St. Frances win the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association conference title. ... in 2015-16, he played at Impact Academy, a prep school in Sarasota, Fla. and averaged nearly 24 points per game ... his AAU team was the DC Warriors.
