St. Bonaventure University men’s soccer head coach Mick Giordano has announced the hiring of Danny Bermingham as an assistant coach ahead of the 2025 season.

“Danny comes from within the same coaching circle as many of the best in the collegiate game currently,” Giordano said. “He has been at a top program under the tremendous leadership of not only a winner but a fantastic person. The lessons Danny has learned while working with a top-notch staff at Wisconsin will be noticeable from day one in our program. He is an energetic young coach who truly epitomizes the mentality and character we preach within our program. His positivity, dedication and winning mindset will be a huge influence on our student-athletes.”

Bermingham joins the Bonnies after spending the 2024 season as an assistant coach at Wisconsin in the Big Ten, helping the squad to a 7-5-3 record.

A native of Houston, Bermingham was a three-year starter in goal at Northern Kentucky, earning Horizon League Goalkeeper of the Year honors following the spring 2021 season after posting a 7-2 record in nine starts.

He was also named to the All-Horizon League first team in 2021 and earned a spot on the Horizon League All-Tournament Team.

In addition to his collegiate career, Bermingham brings experience from USL League Two, having played for the AHFC Royals in 2020 and Kings Hammer FC in 2022.
