St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse head coach LeighAnn Stauffer announced the addition of Julia Rowland as an assistant coach in August of 2022. 
 
Rowland joins the Bonnies as their Defensive Coordinator after spending her first year as an NCAA coach at Franklin and Marshall College where she was the Offensive Coordinator and First Assistant for the nationally-ranked Diplomats. Previously, Rowland also served as an assistant varsity coach at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School and was a head club coach with the Central Lacrosse Club, both out of Massachusetts.
 
Rowland was recruited to play attack for Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., but soon became a three-sport athlete, where she also played basketball and soccer for the Continentals. In 2021, Rowland was selected to the Israeli women's national team and in the summer of 2022, she represented Team Israel in the Women's World Championship in Maryland. She played in all eight games, including six starts, where she netted five goals and three assists.
 
A native of Acton, Mass., Rowland graduated Hamilton College in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy and is currently pursuing a Masters in Sports Journalism at St. Bonaventure.
