Kelly Layton enters her third season with the St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse program, joining the University staff in August 2022.
During the 2023 season, Layton helped coach the squad to their first Atlantic 10 Tournament appearance since 2007 as well as their first conference win since 2017.
Layton comes to St. Bonaventure from George Washington University, where she served as an assistant coach this past season. While with the Colonials, Layton helped with the day-to-day plans and developments of players on a squad that made the Atlantic 10 Tournament for the first time in 13 years. She also served as the lacrosse coach for the Potomac School as well as a goalie coach for the next level lacrosse club.
Layton was a four-year member of the women’s lacrosse program at Millersville University. A goalie during her collegiate career, she worked into a starting role in net for the Marauders. She is also a member of Israeli women’s national team. During the World Championships, she started all eight games over the summer. She also played in The World Games 2022 in Birmingham, Ala.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Public Relations and Organizational Communication as well as a Masters in Sport Management from Millersville.
