Amanda Monahan is in her first season with the Bonnies women's lacrosse program where she works with the defensive unit and goalkeeepers.

Monahan joins the Bonnies staff after working most recently at Xavier in 2024-25 where she guided the Musketeers goalies.

She worked on the coaching staff at Furman during the 2023-24 academic year, helping three of their players earn First Team All-Conference honors as well as coached a Co-Defensive Player of the Year honoree.

A native of Marblehead, Mass., she played collegiately at Davidson where she was an All-Atlantic 10 First Team pick in net twice. She also earned a spot on the 2023 USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-America honorable mention lists and was picked to the A-10 All-Tournament Team while ranking third nationally among all goalies for save percentage while with the Wildcats. In 2022, she was key to helping Davidson to its most wins in program history (13) and also was in the cage for the Wildcats’ first-ever win over a nationally-ranked program when she picked up the victory with 15 saves vs. No. 16 Virginia Tech in 2021. She finished her career fourth all-time in Davidson history with 452 saves and compiled 34 victories.

She got her start in the coaching ranks giving private lessons in her hometown while as an undergrad, and also served as a camp coach at Davidson.

A Class of 2023 graduate, she earned her bachelor's degree from Davidson in communications as a member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
