St. Bonaventure

Andrew Birschbach currently serves as the Athletic Trainer for the St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse and tennis programs.  He began his tenure at St. Bonaventure University in August of 2018.

Before joining the St. Bonaventure sports medicine staff, Birschbach completed his Master of Science degree in Athletic Training at Weber State University (Ogden, Utah).  During his time in Utah, Andrew gained impressive collegiate and clinic experiences serving as both an Intern and Student Athletic Trainer with Weber State University.  Andy also served as a certified intern athletic trainer under Nate Graven learning sport massage and structural integration techniques.  He completed his graduate work in May of 2018 and became a Certified Athletic Trainer upon graduating from Weber.

He is originally from Chilton, Wis. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse in May of 2016.  Andy is currently licensed in the State of New York and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).  He is a certified by the American Red Cross in Emergency Medical Responder CPR/AED/First Aid and hold his USA Weightlifting certification.
