St. Bonaventure

Curtis “CJ” Pierce joined St. Bonaventure University in the Fall of 2024 as the Bonnies Athletic Fund Coordinator and currently serves as Director of Annual Giving. In his role, Pierce leads annual giving strategy and fundraising initiatives for the university, including the Bonaventure Fund and Bonnies Athletic Fund. His work focuses on donor engagement, strategic communications, digital fundraising, and signature giving campaigns designed to strengthen philanthropic support for St. Bonaventure.

Prior to joining St. Bonaventure, Pierce spent six years with the YMCA of the Twin Tiers, serving in several leadership roles, including Sports Director, Youth Engagement Director, Senior Program Director and, most recently, Executive Director beginning in July 2022. As Executive Director, Pierce led the organization's annual fundraising campaign, sponsorship efforts and community relations while managing 11 full-time employees and overseeing day-to-day operations. He also played an integral role in the development and opening of the Limestone Family Play Zone and the Erick Laine Outdoor Center.

Originally from Richburg, N.Y., Pierce is a 2017 graduate of Corning Community College and a 2014 graduate of the Bolivar-Richburg Central School District. He currently resides in Wellsville with his family, KC, Harper and Kolson.
