Tori Waheibi

After four successful years as a goalie for St. Bonaventure,Tori Waheibi will join the coaching ranks as a volunteer assistantfor the 2011 season on the Bonnies' staff, lacrosse head coachChristy Malone announced.

In addition to administrative responsibilities,Waheibi will work directly with the goalies and defensive unitduring practices.

During her playing career, Waheibi was a teamleader for the Brown and White, as she logged more than 785 minutesin goal and ended with a .463 save percentage which placed herthird in the Atlantic 10 during the 2009 season. Waheibi ranksfifth in program history with 31 games started in goal and is thirdall-time with 13 wins. She also ranks third with 302 saves.

"I am so excited for Tori to help our program.She knows what our lacrosse program is about and will be huge forcebehind the defensive end. She brings a wealth of experience to theteam," said Malone. "Her familiarity with the program will make fora smooth transition and we will be looking to her to work with thegoalies and our defensive unit."

The Rochester, N.Y. native finished her seniorseason with 141 saves with a save percentage of .427. Prior to SBU,Waheibi was a three sport athlete in high school-she played soccer,basketball and lacrosse at Irondequoit high school in Rochester,NY.

Waheibi graduated in May 2009 with a bachelor'sdegree in Business Marketing and is pursuing a master's in BusinessAdministration at St. Bonaventure.
