The GoBonnies.com Male Athlete of the Week presented by CPL for the week ending April 24, 2022 is men’s track freshman Thomas Dachik

Dachik won the 3000-meter steeplechase in two meets last week, both at the SRU Invite and UB Team Invitational.

At Slippery Rock on Thursday, he posted a winning time of 10:08.06, then a personal best.

Two days later in Buffalo, he not only eclipsed that time but broke a Bonnies record which had stood since 1986 as he won with a mark of 10:04.46. That time eclipsed the previous school record of 10:06 owned for over three decades by Paul Astorino.
