The GoBonnies.com Female Athlete of the Week presented by CPL for the week ending Oct. 2 is women’s soccer sophomore Chiara Gottinger.

Gottinger finished with a total of 20 saves in two games for the Bonnies this past week.

On Thursday she made seven stops, while only allowing one goal in a 1-1 draw against George Mason.

The Pirching am Traubenberg, Austria native matched her career-high with 13 saves Sunday afternoon against UMass, which she previously matched this season at Niagara. This marks her eighth game this season with nine or more saves.

Currently, the second-year goalkeeper is first in the nation amongst Division I goalkeepers with 111 total saves this year.
