The GoBonnies.com Athlete of the Week presented by CPL for the week ending April 25 is golf senior Danny Gianniny.

Gianniny was outstanding in two events for the Bona golf team.

He finished second out of 77 players at the Lafayette Invitational, helping guide the Bonnies to a fourth-place team finish out of 13 teams in the field. He shot 2-under par 70 in the opening round Sunday and then went 3-under 69 in the final round to post -5 for the tournament. His 139 36-hole total ranked tied for fourth-lowest in program history, matching his own career-best.

Over the weekend, Gianniny led the Bonnies to a victory over Colgate and Rhode Island on Saturday as he finished one off the program record for low round as he shot 5-under 67 at Seven Oaks Golf Club in Hamilton, N.Y. He also shot the second-lowest round vs. par in program history as the Bonnies won by nine shots.
