The GoBonnies.com Male Athlete of the Week presented by CPL for the week ending Feb. 7 is men’s basketball senior Dominick Welch.

Against Davidson last Tuesday, Welch scored 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting. He was 3-8 from three and 3-5 from the free throw line.

The Buffalo, N.Y. native became the 46th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point scoring total against Richmond on Friday night and joins teammates Kyle Lofton and Jalen Adaway in the 1,000-point club. Welch ended the night 11 points, two rebounds, and two assists.

Welch stands fourth in program history with 212 career 3-pointers.
