The GoBonnies.com CPL Athletes of the Week for the week ending Feb. 27, 2022 is men’s track freshman Zach Buckner.

At the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track Championships this past weekend, Buckner set two school records.

In the 800 meters he would go on to easily surpass his own previous record, finishing with a mark of 1:57.95. That time shattered his previous top time of 2:02.34.

The Fairview, Pa. native would set his second school record of the weekend by crossing the finish line with a time of 15:51.91 in the 5000 meters. This time bested his previous personal record by nearly nine seconds.
