St. Bonaventure

The GoBonnies.com CPL Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 20, 2022 is women’s lacrosse junior Sarah Owens.

Owens scored the game-winning goal in an overtime thriller at Detroit Mercy Sunday afternoon.
 
In the closing seconds of the second overtime, St. Bonaventure made a final push and Owens received a pass from teammate Abby Hiltz, firing the ball into the back of the net with one second left on the clock.
 
The Clinton, N.Y. native scored three goals in Sunday’s contest, none more critical than her game-winner to give St. Bonaventure their first victory of the season.
