The St. Bonaventure men's soccer team fell to Dayton, 2-1, on Sunday at McGraw-Jennings Field.
Senior midfielder Bob Hammer (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) beat Dayton goalie Jason Kurdziel in the 43rd minute from 15 yards out to give the Bonnies a 1-0 lead going into the half. Freshman Dan Bowen (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay) assisted on the score.
Early in the second half, Dayton used two goals within 40 seconds to go ahead. The first Flyer goal came in the 53rd minute from senior Sunday Isename. Sophomore Chris Rolfe followed with another goal in the 54th minute.
Dayton outshot the Bonnies 15-5.
Sophomore goalie Sean Eyde (Tucson, Ariz./Salpointe Catholic) recorded eight saves in the loss.
With the loss, the Bonnies dropped to 6-9 overall and 1-7 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Dayton improved to 7-9 overall and 2-6 in the A-10.
St. Bonaventure will next host La Salle at McGraw-Jennings Field on Friday, Nov. 1. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
