ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Junior shortstop Craig King hit a grand slam in the first inning and St. Bonaventure went on to a 10-4 win over Bucknell Tuesday afternoon at McGraw-Jennings Field.

Down 1-0, King blasted a Matt Curry pitch over the left field fence. Junior catcher Damian Blakeley had walked and freshman left fielder Kieran Malone and senior shortstop Eric Wilson both singled to set up King's grand slam.

The Bonnies tacked on three more runs in the second, as freshman third baseman Matt Marduesz singled to drive in senior center fielder Matt Landahl and sophomore first baseman Matt Agostonelli, who both singled. Marduesz later scored on a single by Malone.

The Bison threatened with a three-run fourth inning, but Bona senior Nate Cameron did not allow another run. His first complete game of the year improved Cameron's record to 1-1. He allowed four runs on eight hits and struck out two. Curry took the loss, allowing eight runs on eight hits in five innings of work.

King, Malone and Marduesz each had two hits as St. Bonaventure recorded 10 hits on the day. Marduesz, the reigning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, had three RBI and Malone added two.

The win evened the Bonnies' record at 12-12, while Bucknell dropped to 17-17 on the season.
