Men's Soccer falls to St. Francis, 2-1

LORETTO, Pa. - The St. Bonaventure men's soccer team fell to St. Francis - Pa., 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Stokes Athletic Field.

Senior Andy Garcia scored for St. Bonaventure in the 51st minute with a shot to the right corner. Garcia had two shots for the Bonnies.

St Francis got on the board early when Jarron Brooks scored off a pass from Jeremy Tice in the 4th minute of play. Garcia's goal would tie the game until the Red Flash's Kwam Adjeman-Pamboe scored the game-winning goal off a breakaway in the 78th minute.

Sophomore keeper Jonathan Blanchard had ten saves on the day for the Bonnies, while St. Francis keeper Bobby Pipech turned away three St. Bonaventure shots. The Red Flash out-shot the Bonnies 20-8.

St. Bonaventure falls to 1-6-2 on the season and the Red Flash improve to 4-3-1.

The Bonnies will return to action on Fri., Oct. 7, when they host Charlotte in their Atlantic 10 opener. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m.
