KINGSTON, R.I. - The St. Bonaventure women's soccer team fell to Rhode Island, 5-0, in its first Atlantic 10 conference match of the season Friday evening.

The Rams wasted no time, scoring three goals in the first half. Melanie and Megan Kasparek netted a goal a piece, and five minutes before halftime, Rebecca Fish zipped a goal passed the St. Bonaventure goalkeeper, putting Rhode Island ahead, 3-0.

The Rams' Dora Larusdottir added two more insurance goals early in the second half.

St. Bonaventure junior goalkeeper Lisa Eberhart made 11 saves on the day.

Senior Heather MacDougall led the Bonnies with four shots on goal.

The Bonnies fall to 1-8 on the season, while Rhode Island improves to 5-4.

St. Bonaventure will return to action at Massachusetts Sunday afternoon.
