PALM BEACH, Fla. - St. Bonaventure opened its 2006 baseball campaign with a 6-4 loss to Seton Hall on Sunday afternoon in Palm Beach, Fla.

Senior John Zinnicker was the Bonnies' starter and suffered the loss. He was relieved by sophomore Cody Vincent in the fifth inning.

Junior shortstop Josh Perkins, playing in his first game for St. Bonaventure, went 3-5 with an RBI. Senior DH Matt Agostinelli hit a solo home run and junior outfielder Joe Rizzo went 1-3 with an RBI.

Monday, the Bonnies will play the first of two games against Maine scheduled for the next two days.
