AKRON, OHIO - A goal late in the second overtime period was the difference as the St. Bonaventure men's soccer team fell to No. 15 Akron, 3-2, on Friday night at Lee Jackson Field.
The Zips, ranked 15th in the nation this week by College Soccer News, broke the tie on Ashley Kozicki's goal in the 109th minute. The two teams had been knotted at 2-2 for 45 minutes.
The Bonnies trailed 1-0 midway through the first period, but senior forward Kevin Omokhua evened the score at 1-1 in the 23rd minute off a direct free kick. Less than seven minutes later Omokhua played a free kick back to junior midfielder Nick Lopez, who's shot beat Akron goalkeeper Evan Bush to give St. Bonaventure a 2-1 advantage.

St. Bonaventure only managed two shots over the final 45 minutes, as the Zips out-shot the Bonnies 21-4 overall.
