ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure University men's soccer head coach Mick Giordano has announced the addition of Dominic Galietta as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026 season.

Galietta joins the Bonnies after a two-year stint at WVU Tech, where he served as interim head coach. During that span, he helped guide the program to a 30-9-4 record.

"I am thrilled to welcome Dominic to our program," Giordano said. "He is a young, hungry coach who has already accomplished amazing things in his coaching career. The work Dominic did at WVU Tech, helping lead the program to a 20-1-2 record in 2025 and an NAIA National Championship game appearance, speaks for itself. He understands the rigorous landscape of college soccer, having grown up in Pittsburgh and competed as a student-athlete at Colgate University. His defensive mindset will help our program immediately. More importantly than all of that, Dominic is a selfless leader with a passion for developing the next generation. We will all become better people because of his presence at Bonaventure."

During the 2025 campaign, Galietta helped lead the team to a 20-1-2 record and an appearance in the NAIA National Championship game. The Golden Bears compiled an 18-game winning streak, swept every major River States Conference award, and produced two All-Americans.

In 2024, the Golden Bears finished 10-8-2 and advanced to the River States Conference championship game.

Prior to WVU Tech, Galietta served as an assistant coach with Century United FC, working with the club's 2007 and 2009 teams. He also held assistant coaching responsibilities at Canon-McMillan High School.

Galietta was a standout player at Colgate, serving as team captain and helping the Raiders capture the 2018 Patriot League Championship before advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. He also spent time with West Virginia Alliance FC in USL League Two.

Galietta holds USSF Grassroots 11v11 and 9v9 coaching licenses and is currently working toward his USSF D License.
