WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -
The St. Bonaventure baseball team dropped its second game of the season on Wednesday afternoon as it fell to Mercyhurst 9-3 on its second day in Florida.
The game was the eighth of the season for the Lakers as they pounded out 16 hits off of five different Bonaventure pitchers. Senior righty Eric Drobotij picked up the win on the mound for Mercyhurst striking out three in five and two-third innings of work.
Senior Cody Vincent earned his second decision of the season on the mound for the Bonnies, falling to 1-1. Vincent gave up 10 hits and six earned runs in four innings. Four other pitchers combined to go the rest of the way for St. Bonaventure.
Junior Kevin Suminski finished with his second-straight multi-hit game with a 3-for-5 performance at the plate. Senior designated hitter Josh Sova went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

St. Bonaventure will be back in action on Thursday when it takes on Mount St. Mary's for the second time in three days. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.
