BONA Bullets
- The Bonnies have dropped three of their six losses to ranked
teams and lost by less than 10 points each time. Dayton is the only
team to defeat the Bonnies by more than 10.
- The double-digit victory at La Salle is the first conference
road victory in which the Bonnies won by more than 18 points under
Coach Crowley.
- Dana Mitchell scored her 1,800th career point
in the 63-52 loss against Xavier on
- January 23. Mitchell became the third player in program history
to reach the milestone.
- The Brown and White's 52 points against Duquesne are a
season-low as the Bonnies shot just 17-of-47 from the field.
- Coach Jim Crowley is one win away from his
125th at St. Bonaventure and two from 165 career wins.
- Senior Dana Mitchell is second in the A-10 in
scoring, averaging 16.9 points per game. She has put up 18 points
or more in eight out of the last 12 contests.
- Redshirt sophomore Armelia Horton is averaging
9.8 points in conference play after opening against Saint Louis
with a career-high 18 points
- Senior Andrea Doneth entered the top 10 list
in assists with 278. She leads the team with 59 and is 22 away from
moving into ninth.
- St. Bonaventure's 12 non-conference victories matches the
program best set by the 2007-08 squad.

Scouting the Rams
Led by a dynamic duo performance from Tiffany Stokes and Randall
Hurst, Fordham put an end to a 10-game slide with a 53-47 win over
Rhode Island at the Rose Hill Gym on Saturday. It was
Fordham's first win against their Ram counterparts since
2006. Hurst leads the Rams scoring and rebounding adding 14.6
points per game and grabbing 6.8 caroms. Fordham has faced three of
the same opponents as the Bonnies going 1-2 compared to the Bonnies
2-1.
This Day in BONA BASKETBALL
The Bonnies have only played three times on January 27 going 0-3.
Their last game was against Xavier in a 76-67 loss in 2006.
Series Note
Fordham and St. Bonaventure used to be travel partners in the
Atlantic 10 conference meeting twice a year from 1996-2006.
LAST TIME against the RAMS
Despite shooting 38 percent (21-55) the Bonnies pulled out a 56-48
victory in the Bronx last season. Then-senior Kately Murray led the
team with 11 points while current senior Dana Mitchell and former
Bonnie Ashley Edwards both scored 10 points. All 10 Bonnies who saw
time scored at least one bucket. Jessica Jenkins scored one-of-two
combined three-pointers of the night.
UNDER PRESSURE
The Bonnies scoring defense ranks 11th in the nation and first in
the Atlantic 10 allowing 53.3 points per game. Thirteen of St.
Bonaventure's opponents have been held to under 60
points.
Super SATURDAY
The Bonnies are 3-2 on Wednesdays, with their last victory coming
at La Salle on January 20.
There's no Place like Home
The Bonnies are 8-2 at home this season. St. Bonaventure went 13-3
at home last season with losses coming against Syracuse, Duquesne
and South Florida.
Back to NORM
St. Bonaventure allowed La Salle to shoot just 31 perccent (13-42)
from the field to settle back into its normal defensive ways.
It's Raining Threes
The Brown and White have scored at least one three-pointer in 182
games dating back to 2004. The last time the Bonnies failed to
convert a three-point basket in a game was on February 14, 2004
against Temple.
In the nation
In the Jan. 25 NCAA statistics, the Bonnies ranked in the top-10
in the nation in two categories - fourth in free-throw percentage
(79.5) and seventh in three-point field-goal percentage (39.7).
“Three” to be you and me
Sophomore Jessica Jenkins scored six
three-pointers against Virginia to move into the ninth spot on the
all-time list with 82. She now has 91 needing 10 more to match
former teammate Erica Schiefen's spot with 101.
Minimal MINUTES
No player on the Brown and White is averaging more than 30 minutes
a game. Seven of the 14 teams in the A-10 have at least one player
averaging more than 30 minutes.
