Scouting the Dukes
Duquesne is on a two-game skid entering the contest against the
Bonnies, but have won eight of its last 10 games. Duquesne is
looking for a two-game sweep of the Bonnies after defeating them at
home in January. On Wednesday the Dukes lost to Temple, 52-41 and
dropped their prior game to Xavier 74-55. Samantha Pollino leads in
scoring with 12.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Pollino needs
only 16 more points to join the 1,000 Point Club. The Dukes have
also lost to Dayton - another A-10 foe that beat the Bonnies.
This Day in BONA BASKETBALL
The Bonnies are 1-4 on February 20 dating back to the 1986-87
season - the last season that has actual dates recorded. The
Bonnies have not played on 2/20 since 2005 when they recorded their
long win against Fordham.
Series Note
The teams went 1-1 last season, besting each other on their own
courts. Duquesne has already beat the Bonnies at the Reilly Center
and the Bonnies look to return the favor.
LAST TIME against the Dukes
A 29-9 run that lasted 11 minutes through the second half helped
Duquesne shake off a slow start en route to a 57-52 victory at the
Reilly Center in January. Despite Duquesne's 29-9 run, the
Bonnies went on an 11-2 stretch to pull within two, 54-52, after
scoring on their next five possessions. With a last minute attempt
to tie the game, Dana Mitchell was called for an
offensive foul sealing the Duquesne win. The Brown and
White's 52 points are a season-low.
ON the ROAD again
The Bonnies are 7-5 on the road this season. Of those losses, two
were against nationally-ranked teams and all but one was by single
digits.
From DOWN TOWN
Sophomore Jessica Jenkins has hit a three-pointer
in all but two games. Her biggest long-range output came against
Quinnipiac with nine and is averaging 2.3 in conference play.
We're going STREAKING

time this season to rally a streak. The longest in program history
was the 11-0 mark to start the season.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE

Richmond on Wednesday. The Bonnies only had one double-double last
season, but have two this season.
LEADING Scorers

Tatenhove and Jessica Jenkins lead the team in scoring, averaging
in double figures. The Bonnies have not finished a season with
three double-figure averages since 2001-02.
Going LONG
The Bonnies have scored four or more three-pointers in 22 out of
their 27 games. They scored a season-high nine at Quinnipiac and
against Buffalo.
MOVING on Up (in the books)

Mitchell moved into the second spot on the all-time
scoring list after scoring 20 points against George Washington. She
now has 1,891 points. and trails the top spot held by Hilary
Waltman by 215 points.
The Ball is OURS

first in the A-10 in turnovers per game, averaging 13.7. The
Bonnies only had six against George Washington for a
season-low.
UNDER PRESSURE

the Atlantic 10 allowing 52.9 points per game. Eighteen of St.
Bonaventure's opponents have been held to under 60
points.
She'll TAKE that
Armelia Horton, Dana Mitchell and Cara Gustafson lead the team in
steals with 33. Horton has registered at least one in 19 of her 25
played games - grabbing 22 of those steals at the Reilly Center.
