BONA BULLETS

  • St. Bonaventure is currently tied for fifth place with Saint Joseph's and Charlotte.
  • Senior Dana Mitchell became the first women's basketball player in Bona history to have her jersey retired after leading the Bonnies to an 80-46 record through four years. She is second all-time scoring with 1,911 points and made field goals with 713.
  • The Bonnies are 4-3 in conference away games and need one more to set a program best. The current record matches the four A-10 road wins from the 1990-91 season when Bonaventure beat UMass, Rhode Island, Rutgers and Duquesne on their own courts.
  • The Brown and White have hit at least one three-pointer in 190 consecutive games dating back to 2004. The last time the Bonnies failed to convert a three-point basket in a game was on February 14, 2004 against Temple.
  • The Bonnies scoring defense ranks eighth in the nation and first in the Atlantic 10 allowing 52.7 points per game. St. Bonaventure has held 19 of its opponents to under 60 points.
  • St. Bonaventure has beaten eight Atlantic 10 foes by double-digits. The Bonnies had a combined six double-digit wins in the past four seasons.
  • With a win at Rhode Island, the Brown and White would set a program-record with 21 regular season victories, breaking last year's record of 20 wins.

This Day in BONA BASKETBALL
The Bonnies are 2-5 on February 27 dating back to the 1986-87 season - the last season that has actual dates recorded. The Bonnies have not won since 1996 when they beat La Salle 82-70.

Series Note
The Bonnies snapped a two-game winning streak the Rams held in 2008 when they beat the Rams at the Reilly Center in 2009.

LAST TIME against the Rams
Then-senior Katelyn Murray scored a game-high 16 points, including 13 in the first half as St. Bonaventure held on for a 54-48 Atlantic 10 win over Rhode Island. Murray's big night put her over 1,000 points for her career, making her the 17th player in program history to accomplish the feat.

Not-so LEADING SCORERS
St. Bonaventure held its last two opponents' leading scorers to well under their double-figure average. Richmond's Brittani Shells and Duquesne's Samantha Pollino were held to two points.

From DOWN TOWN

We're going STREAKING
The Bonnies are on a three-game winning streak, marking the third time this season and second time in conference play to rally a streak. The longest in program history was the 11-0 mark to start the season.

BUZZER to BUZZER
The team has led wire to wire eight times this season and have won by an average of nearly 22 points.

From the LINE
St. Bonaventure made more free throws than its opponent attempted for the ninth time this season at Duquesne.

LEADING Scorers
Senior Dana Mitchell, and sophomores Megan Van Tatenhove and Jessica Jenkins lead in scoring. The Bonnies have not finished a season with three double-figure averages since 2001-02 when Courtney Mattingly, Gellaine Clarke and Melissa Fazio averaged double-digits.
