BONA Bullets
- Dana Mitchell, Megan Van Tatenhove and
Armelia Horton are averaging in double figures in
conference play. Horton has scored almost half of her points
against A-10 foes.
- The Bonnies have won three consecutive conference road games
for the first time in program history.
- St. Bonaventure has won all of its victories by 10 or more
points and lost by 11 or less.
- Coach Jim Crowley won his 125th game at St.
Bonaventure against Fordham and his 165th of his career at Temple.
- The double-digit victory against Fordham is the largest
conference victory since 1999.
- The Bonnies held Temple to just one made three-pointer.
- Dana Mitchell scored her 1,800th career point
in the 63-52 loss against Xavier on January 23. Mitchell became the
third player in program history to reach the milestone.
- Senior Dana Mitchell is second in the A-10 in
scoring, averaging 16.5 points per game.
- Senior Andrea Doneth entered the top 10 list
in assists with 278. She leads the team with 66 and is 14 away from
moving into ninth.
- St. Bonaventure needs four more A-10 wins to match last
season's record-setting nine conference wins and just six
wins to match its win record.
- St. Bonaventure's 12 non-conference victories matches the
program best set by the 2007-08 squad.

Scouting the Hawks
Saint Joseph's was on a two-game winning streak before
falling to cross-town rival Temple 58-56 on Tuesday. The Hawks held
a two-point lead with 30 seconds to go, but could not convert their
final shots. Three Hawks scored in double-digits: Michelle
Baker(12), Mariame Djouara (11) and Brittany Ford (10). Ford is the
reigning A-10 Player of the Week and leads the Hawks in scoring
with 11.2 per game.
This Day in BONA BASKETBALL
The Bonnies are 2-7 on February 6 - dating back to the 1986-87
season, the last season that has actual dates recorded. The last
victory was actually against Saint Joseph's in 2004.
Series Note
The teams met twice last season with the Bonnies winning both
games and knocking the Hawks out of the A-10 tournament.
LAST SEASON against the HAWKS
The Bonnies met with Saint Joe's two times last season, the
final time knocked the Hawks out of the A-10 tournament. It was a
team effort as four Bonnies put up double figures lead by
Dana Mitchell with 17 and Jessica
Jenkins with 14. Mitchell led during the regular season
with 22 points while Priscilla Edwards added 11 of the
Bonnies' 21 points off the bench.
There's no Place like Home
The Bonnies are 9-2 at home this season. They are outscoring
opponents by almost 15 points when they enter the Reilly Center and
only allowing an average of 50 points.
SPUNKY Saturdays
St. Bonaventure is currently 4-2 on Saturdays last beating Temple,
64-54 on its home court for the first time in 10 years on Jan.

From the LINE
For the second game in a row and eighth time this season, St.
Bonaventure made more free throws than its opponent attempted.
The Ball is OURS
The Brown and White is first in the A-10 in turnovers per game,
averaging 14.0. In the game at UMass, Andrea
Doneth and Jessica Jenkins dished out a
combined 13 assists on no turnovers helping the Bonnies tie a
season-low for turnovers (8).
UNDER PRESSURE
The Bonnies scoring defense ranks 11th in the nation and first in
the Atlantic 10 allowing 52.7 points per game. Fifteen of St.
Bonaventure's opponents have been held to under 60
points.
It's Raining Threes
The Brown and White have scored at least one three-pointer in 185
games dating back to 2004. The last time the Bonnies failed to
convert a three-point basket in a game was on February 14, 2004
against Temple.
Back to NORM
St. Bonaventure only allowed La Salle and Fordham to shoot under
32 perccent from the field to settle back into its defensive ways
that led them to an 11-0 start.
In the nation
In the Jan. 31 NCAA statistics, the Bonnies ranked in the top-10
in the nation in three categories - fourth in free-throw percentage
(79.6) and seventh in three-point field-goal percentage (39.7) and
scoring defense (52.7).
A-10 ACTION
Redshirt sophomore Armelia Horton is averaging
10.0 points in conference play. After posting double figures in
three non-conference games, she has posted double digit scoring
games in four of the eight conference contests.
“Three” to be you and me
Sophomore Jessica Jenkins scored six
three-pointers against Virginia to move into the ninth spot on the
all-time list with 82. She now has 100 needing one more to match
former teammate Erica Schiefen's spot with 101.
She'll TAKE that
Armelia Horton has a team-best 29 steals
registering at least one in 19 of her 21 played games. Junior
Cara Gustafson has 28 steals grabbing at least one
steal in 17 of the 23 games.
