ARLINGTON, Va.
— George Washington pounded out 15 hits and went on to score 15 runs as it completed a three-game Atlantic 10 series sweep of St. Bonaventure with a 15-4 victory on Saturday afternoon at Barcroft Park.

The Brown and White have dropped all six of their A-10 contests, while the Colonials are a perfect 6-0 in league play.

After opening the A-10 slate with six straight games on the road, the Bonnies (4-14) will now return to Fred Handler Park for five of their next six games. St. Bonaventure will host Le Moyne in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday, March 6, head to Niagara for a single game on Wednesday and then host Fordham in a three-game A-10 set over the weekend.

Sophomore Nick Brennen started on the mound for the Bonnies, as they used a total of four different pitchers. Brennen did strikeout six batters over 5.1 innings, but gave up 10 hits. Only four of the eight runs Brennen gave up were earned as the Bona defense committed a season-worst six errors that lead to nine unearned runs.

GW jumped out to an 8-0 lead by the bottom of the fourth, until St. Bonaventure plated all four of its runs in the top of the fifth to cut the deficit in half, at 8-4. Junior Jesse Bosnik drove in two of the runs on a single, while a pair of Colonial errors brought home the other two runs.

Neither team plated a run in the sixth or seventh inning until GW posted a seven-run bottom of the eighth to seal its seventh straight win.

Brennen helped himself at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a run scored. Brennen is 9-for-21 at the plate over his five starts on the mound this season. Four of the team's 10 hits were doubles. Senior leadoff man Nick Cunliffe went 2-for-5 with a double while juniors Ryan Mosher and Derek Speaker each had a double, as well. Bosnik's two-run single in the fifth extended his hit streak to 16 games.
