ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — With a high wind
warning issued for Western New York, the second game of St.
Bonaventure's Atlantic 10 series against visiting Rhode
Island at Fred Handler Park set for Saturday has been postponed
until Sunday.
The two teams will now closeout the series by playing a
doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 11 a.m. Behind a three-hit
shutout from Tim Boyce, Rhode Island took the series-opening game
on Friday, 7-0.
Gusts ranging from 20-50 mph have started to hit Western New
York. The postponement marks the third time this season that the
Brown and White have had a weekend A-10 contest affected by
weather.
The first game of Sunday's doubleheader can be heard live
locally on WHDL 1450 AM or on www.GoBonnies.com
through the service of Stretch Internet. Live in-game stats are
available for both games.
