ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — The Bonnies (4-3-0), winners of three straight, host the PUMA/Big 4 Tournament this weekend at McGraw-Jennings Field as local rivals Buffalo, Canisius and Niagara visit the Brown and White.

St. Bonaventure defeated Cornell and Colgate in the Colgate Nike Invitational last Sunday, placing them in a tie for first place with Seton Hall in the final Invitational standings.  Senior Courtney Bosse led the Bonnies to a 1-0 victory over Colgate, and is now tied for 12th on the St. Bonaventure's all-time goals list with classmate Anna Cunningham. St. Bonaventure will start off its first game in the tournament against Canisius at 5 p.m. on Friday, followed by a game on Sunday against Niagara at 2:30 p.m.

Canisius set their record at 3-3-0 this past weekend with their triumph against Youngstown State, 2-1. Blue and Gold goalkeeper Lesley Ivanic allowed one goal and had five saves to earn her third win of the season. After playing the Bonnies Friday night, the Golden Griffins will face Buffalo at noon on Sunday.

The Buffalo Bulls lost against Robert Morris University last week, 3-1, and Duquesne, 2-0, in the Niagara University Fall Classic Tournament. The losses set the Bulls' record at 1-5 for the season. Senior Lindsey Bailey and freshman Lauren Coviello were named to the All-Tournament team for their effort in the two games against RMU and Duquesne.

Niagara earned the 2010 Niagara University Fall Classic title in double-overtime against Duquesne. Sophomore Jamie Raepple helped set the Purple Eagles to a 4-1-1 record with the winning goal in double-overtime. Niagara is now the two-time defending Niagara Fall Classic champions, led by Jamie Raepple, Ashleigh Bowers, Chelsea Spencer, and Jen Kimoto, who were named to the 2010 Niagara Fall Classic All-Tournament Team.
