Lacrosse Takes on Longwood Monday

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y.
- The St. Bonaventure University women's lacrosse team (1-1) takes on Longwood University on Monday at Nichols High School in Buffalo, N.Y.  

The Lancers, who are 2-1, began their season with three straight home games in Farmville, Va. where they beat California, 8-6, and Saint Francis (Pa.), 10-5, and lost to Mount St. Mary's by a single goal, 12-11.

Lancers' leading scorer Cara O'Brian scored five goals versus Mount St. Mary's and leads the team with nine total goals.  Longwood faces Canisius on Saturday before taking on the Bonnies.

The Bonnies will be coming off of a two-week break when they face Longwood. Their last game was a tough 19-4 loss at Ohio State Feb. 27.  The Bonnies opened up the 2011 season with a 14-10 win over Bucknell.
