Flight A Draw
Flight B Draw
Flight C Draw

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. –
The St. Bonaventure women's tennis team will make its 2012-13 home debut in the SBU Fall Classic this weekend.

The Bonnies welcome Niagara, Youngstown State and Indiana (Pa.) to the SBU Fitness Center courts for the annual event, which begins Friday and runs through Sunday. There is no team scoring, though matches will count toward individual players' overall records.

Doubles competition is scheduled for Friday, beginning at 3 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, players from each team are scheduled to compete in singles flight compass draws, where winners advance and losers of opening matches move to a consolation bracket.

The tournament will feature three singles flight draws. The Flight A and Flight B draws include eight players each – two from each school – who will compete for championships, while the Flight C championship draw includes 10 players.

The Bonnies opened their fall season three weeks ago at the Navy Invitational. Senior Riley Archer led the way for SBU, posting three victories en route to winning the Flight D consolation singles title. Senior Kathryn Kvas, sophomore's Fatya Amiri (pictured) and Marissa Brossard, and freshman Taylor Cole each added one singles win the 10-team event.

Amiri and Brossard are included in the Flight A draw this weekend, while Kvas and Cole are in the Flight B draw. Looking for another title, Archer will compete in the Flight C draw.

Indiana (Pa.) is 2-0 in dual team matches this fall. Players from IUP have also competed in the Bucknell Quad tournament, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Individual Championships and ITA Atlantic Regional Championships.

Niagara, meanwhile, is 1-1 in team matches with a loss to Buffalo and a victory over Rider. The SBU Fall Classic will serve as the season opener for Youngstown State.
