Bonnies defeat Colgate 7-0

HAMILTON, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure women's tennis team swept the court on Sunday in their defeat against Colgate University with a final score of 7-0. 

In doubles action, senior Manuela Marin-Salcedo and freshman Fatya Amiri defeated Kelsey Shea and Merideth Rock with a score of 8-2.

Also in doubles, Amanda Pallikunnel and Marissa Brossard, along with Andrea Pavlovic and Kathryn Kvas won their matches with scores of 8-7 and 8-3, respectively. 

In single matches Bonaventure defeated Colgate across the board as well. Marin-Salcedo won against Petrini, 7-5, 4-6 and (10-4). Amiri defeated Shea 6-3, 6-4. Brossard triumphed over Brown 6-0, 7-5. Pavlovic won her match over Jackie Finn, 6-4, 6-0. 

Juniors Riley Archer and Kvas defeated their opponents in single matches with scores of 8-3 for Archer and 6-1, 6-1 for Kvas. Pallikunnel won her singles match with scores of 6-4, 6-0. 

This brings the team's season record to 7-5. The women will return to the court March 23 when they travel to Albany to take on the University at Albany. They will then take on Siena at Siena on March 24.
