ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure baseball team (10-10, 2-3 Atlantic 10) lost to the Fordham University Rams, 5-3, in 12 innings today in the second of a three-game A-10 series at Fred Handler Park at McGraw-Jennings Field.

With the game tied, 3-3, in the 12th, the Rams (10-17, 2-3 A-10) received a two-out single to left to give them the 5-3 win.

Fordham began the scoring in the top of the 3rd inning with two runs on a RBI double.

The Bonnies took the lead in the bottom of the 4th on a three-run home run by junior first baseman Austin Ingraham. It was his first homer of the season, and just the third of the year for St. Bonaventure.

Fordham tied the game at 3-3 with a solo home run in the top of the 5th.

Ingraham led the Brown and White at the plate, going 2-4 with a home run, a single and three RBI. Senior left fielder Nick Brennen extended his hitting streak to 15 games with a single in the bottom of the 4th. Junior Billy Urban failed to pick up a hit in four plate appearances, ending his 14-game hitting streak.

Senior right-hander Jordan Crane (2-1) threw 105 pitches in five innings, recording six strikeouts while allowing three walks, seven hits and three earned runs and hit one batter. This was St. Bonaventure's first loss (4-1) in a Crane start.

Sophomore righty Asa Johnson (1-2) picked up the loss. He threw 78 pitches in six and one-thirds innings, recording two strikeouts. Johnson allowed two walks and two hits and hit one batter. Eleven of his 19 outs were fly outs.

Johnson left with runners on first and second in the top of the 12th and one out. Junior Jason Radwan entered from second base and recorded one out before Urban came in from third base and walked a batter. Head coach Larry Sudbrook then went back to Radwan with the bases loaded, and on his first pitch allowed the game-winning single.

Fordham's starting pitcher Chris Pike pitched for 10+ innings, only allowing three runs on Ingraham's home run.

The Bonnies conclude their series with Fordham at 11 a.m. on Sunday. The game was originally scheduled for Noon, but with rain forecasted for later the afternoon the start time was pushed up an hour.
