LEWISBURG, Pa. - The St. Bonaventure baseball team (16-15) travels to central Pennsylvania to face the Bucknell University Bison (19-24) for a doubleheader on Tuesday beginning at 2 p.m.
The Bonnies enter Tuesday's twinbill after completing a road sweep of A-10 rival George Washington last weekend, winning the games 3-1 in 12 innings, 2-1 and 9-5, respectively. St. Bonaventure is on its second three-game winning streak of the season. Previously, the Brown and White won three games in a row against Mount St. Mary's Feb. 29-March 2 in Winter Haven, Fla.
After the weekend's victories, Bonaventure moved to ninth place in the conference, three spots behind qualification for the A-10 Championship.
Through 31 games, junior third baseman Billy Urban leads the Brown and White with a .378 batting average, 45 hits, 31 RBI and 10 doubles. Junior second baseman Jason Radwan's 30 runs are a team high.
The Bison hope to snap their five-game losing streak, recently falling at Army, 2-1, in 15 innings on Sunday which completed a Black Knights' series sweep.
Senior outfielder Bob Donato and infielder David Duffett both lead Bucknell with a team-high 30 RBI. Donato paces Bucknell with 58 hits, 15 doubles and six home runs. Duffett has recorded five triples, the most on the team.
Following Tuesday's non-conference games, the Bonnies will return to Fred Handler Park at McGraw-Jennings Field to play Saint Joseph's in a three-game A-10 series beginning Friday afternoon.
