BUFFALO, N.Y. – In a battle of two teams trying to get their records above .500, Canisius (24-23) came out in front of the St. Bonaventure baseball team (18-19) by a score of 10-1 Tuesday afternoon at Demske Sports Complex.

Canisius pitching limited Bona hitters to just six hits. That sextuplet of hits came from six different players: Eric Jutca, Jason Radwan, Billy Urban, Michael Grieco, Michael Meredith and Justin Brozick.

Grieco secured the Brown and White's only run of the contest with a one-out home run to left field in the top of the 9th. The round-tripper was the first of the senior's season, fifth of his career and just the sixth by a St. Bonaventure player this year.

For Radwan, a 1-for-4 effort at the plate extended his hitting streak to six straight as the junior reached base for the seventh consecutive game. He has now reached base safely in 35 of Bona's 37 games this season.

Canisius plated runs in five straight innings – one each in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th, a pair in the 5th to build a 5-0 lead and then a five-run 6th which put the game out of reach.

Head coach Larry Sudbrook used six different pitchers on the afternoon, with none throwing more than two innings and four tossing just one frame. Freshman Cameron Carney (0-2) started for Bonaventure, pitched just two innings in which he allowed only one run but still took his second loss of the season.

St. Bonaventure returns to action when it travels to Saint Louis for a three-game Atlantic 10 Conference series against the Billikens beginning on Friday at 7 p.m. Eastern.
