WEST POINT, N.Y. – Senior Kathryn Kvas collected the lone victory for the St. Bonaventure women's tennis team in its dual matches against Army and Massachusetts on Friday and Saturday at Army's Lichtenberg Tennis Center.

The Black Knights topped the Bonnies, 6-1, on Friday, and the Minutewomen blanked SBU, 7-0, on Saturday in an Atlantic 10 matchup.

Kvas (pictured) rallied to score a 3-6, 7-6 (3), 10-6 triumph over Army's Larraine Saavedra in third singles for the Bonnies. Sophomore Marissa Brossard won her first set against the Black Knights' Della Taylor, but fell, 2-6, 7-6 (10-8), 11-9, in a tightly contested second singles match.

In doubles play against Army, St. Bonaventure's top tandem of Brossard and classmate Fatya Amiri were narrowly defeated by Saavedra and Jamila Paul, 8-7 (7-5).

Injuries forced the Bonnies (2-6, 0-1 Atlantic 10) to forfeit their No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles matches against both Army (5-1) and Massachusetts (5-1, 2-0).

St. Bonaventure hosts Bucknell at 3 p.m. Sunday at the SBU Fitness Center.
