#Bonnies Look To Continue Hot Start At Delaware State

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Coming off a 14-7 win at Coastal Carolina, the St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team (2-0) looks to continue its hot start at Delaware State on Sunday. The Bonnies take on the Hornets in their first game in eleven days.

Delaware State's women's lacrosse program is in its season. The Hornets have had a rough start with three losses and a collective 57 points scored against them. In their last meeting, they scored their season high in goals in a 21-4 loss to Liberty. No Delaware State player has scored more than one point in a game, though sophomore Emily Peets leads the team with 3.67 shots per game.

Sophomore Jenna Schlagenhauf, an Atlantic 10 player of the week earlier this season, led the Bonnies to victory with five points (4 goals, 1 assist) against Coastal Carolina, with senior Marybeth Madia and sophomore Taylor Ventre each scoring three goals.  Junior Elspeth McGarry picked up two assists.

Schlagenhauf currently leads the Atlantic 10 with an average 4.00 goals per game, and Ventre leads in shots (7.50) and caused turnovers (3.00).

After Delaware State, the Bonnies will head to Niagara on March 12 to take on the Purple Eagles.
