KETTERING, Ohio – St. Bonaventure finished in a tie for 12th place out of 15 teams in the Dayton Flyer Invitational onTuesday at NCR Country Club's South Course.
After an opening round of 303 on Monday, the Bonnies slipped to a 314 in the second round. Their 617 total was tied with Evansville, six shots back of Valparaiso and Robert Morris. Xavier won the event with a score of 587.
Junior Josh Stauffer led St. Bonaventure with a two-over par 74 on Tuesday for a two-day total of 151 (+9). He tied for 22nd place in the field of 91 players.
Freshman Corey Long shot his second straight 77 to end at 154, good for a tie for 38th. Senior Dan Dunnigan shot 81 while junior Patrick Milkovich and freshman Patrick Sheerer both shot 82.
The Dayton Flyer Invitational was the Bonnies' final competition of the fall season.
