The Story:

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies fell to the UMass Minutemen in their final game of the season, 3-0, on Saturday, Nov. 8.

The Minutemen struck first on their second shot of the game as Will Ellis poked it in from two yards out off a free kick for his first goal of the season.

UMass outshot the Bonnies in the first half, eight to six, while St. Bonaventure's Jeremy Figler saved three shots on goal to Taylor Culp's two saves. St. Bonaventure recorded three fouls in the half, two on corner kicks.

Early in the second half, the Bonnies had a scoring opportunity after a UMass foul, but Bonaventure Akinlosotu's header went wide.

Just 20 seconds after receiving a yellow card, UMass' Josh Schwartz beat the rush on a long ball and scored, bringing the score to 2-0 Minutemen at the 54-minute mark.

UMass had another opportunity to score at the 59-minute mark on a corner kick, but Figler saved Matt Keys' header shot attempt.

The game began to get a little feisty as Akinlosotu and UMass' Mark Morris both received yellow cards around the 65-minute mark.

At the 66-minute mark, UMass hammered home their third goal of the game from Lenior Sery off a pass from Schwartz.

Just minutes after, St. Bonaventure's Nicholas Perillo received a red card.

The score remained until the final whistle, and the Minutemen defeated the Bonnies 3-0.
