ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's soccer team battled unbeaten Le Moyne to a scoreless draw in its 2026 home opener Sunday evening at the Marra Athletics Complex.
Bonnies goalkeeper Winston Jory was tested in the opening minutes of the contest but was able to turn away a chance from Michael Krzeminski.
The Brown and White's first chance of the night came off the foot of Callum Shillington, who stood over a free kick in the 21st minute. He, however, was denied a goal by Le Moyne goalkeeper Wyatt Dupell.
Ryan Holt looked to break the tie in the 37th minute as he sent in a low shot through traffic, forcing Dupell to stretch out and make the save.
The Bonnies (1-1-1) tested Dupell once again as the first half came to an end, but he was able to save Alistair McFall's chance as the teams headed to halftime scoreless.
Kyle Macfarlane looked to open the scoring in the opening minute of the second half, but his shot sailed wide of the net.
Jory got his hands on back-to-back chances from the Dolphins (3-0-1) in the 67th and 68th minutes before making another stop in the 88th.
Le Moyne had a pair of opportunities in the closing minutes, but the Bonnies got key blocks from Ben Marsh and Yaseen Khaled to secure the draw.
Jory recorded a season-high six saves for the Brown and White while registering his second shutout of the season.

"The defense has been tremendous. We've had guys filling in with rotations and they have all bought into the mentality of doing everything we can for clean sheets. You saw at the end, Ben Marsh making a massive save, Yaseen making a big save inside the 18. The identity of we will do anything to keep the ball out of the back of the net is truly showing right now. We've got to score a few more goals, but hopefully our defending continues the same way. Then, we will give ourselves a chance every time."

The Bonnies remain at home to host Robert Morris Friday, Sept. 4. Kickoff is slated for 6:00 p.m. at the Marra Athletics Complex.
