The Short Story: St. Bonaventure led from start to finish on Wednesday night to secure a 76-65 win over Fordham at Rose Hill Gym. Matthew Wright and Andell Cumberbatch led the Bonnies with 18 points apiece. Six other Bonnies scored, topped by Dion Wright with 10 and Marquise Simmons with nine.
The Bonnies outrebounded the Rams 40-28 including 17 offensive boards and enjoyed a strong shooting night, making 30 of 61 shots (49 percent).
It was St. Bonaventure's first Atlantic 10 Conference road win of the year.

How It Happened:
- Mathew Wright started out hot, making his first three shots and totaling nine points in the first five minutes. Fordham, however, also was hot at the start and the game was tied at 15-15 at the initial media timeout.
- The Bonnies went on a 10-0 run to open a 25-15 lead by the 11:16 mark; Charlon Kloof capped the run with a fastbreak layup.
- Youssou Ndoye scored on a hook shot to make it 29-18 but Fordham's Branden Frazier answered with a three-pointer.
- A floater that Matthew Wright got to drop made it 35-25 Bonnies just under the four minute mark.
- Fordham scored five points late to cut into the lead and at halftime, St. Bonaventure led 39-33.
- In the second half, Fordham whittled the Bona lead down to three on a three-pointer by Jon Severe at the 15:19 mark, but the Bonnies went on a 9-2 run to push their lead up to 10 points at 57-47 at the 12:47 mark.
- From that point on, Fordham did not come any closer than seven points.
- It was a 65-58 game when the Bonnies went on another run that essentially sealed the win, this one a 10-0 spurt that closed with a layup from Marquise Simmons at the 3:24 mark.
- Dion Wright helped to hold off the Rams as he came alive in the second half, scoring all 10 of his points in the frame. Wright also led the Bonnies with nine rebounds – six on the offensive glass.
- On the night, the Bonnies made 12 of 16 free throws.
- The Bonnies' nine steals were their second-highest total in a game this season (11 at Wake Forest).
- The Bona faithful in attendance rose to their feet in the final minutes to celebrate the road win.
Beyond the Box Score:
- Led by Dion Wright, St. Bonaventure's bench outscored Fordham 18-2.
- Cumberbatch's 18 points snapped a mini-slump where he had not scored more than eight points in any of the past five games.
- St. Bonaventure finished with a 44-26 advantage in points in the paint, a 17-10 edge in second chance points and 24-17 edge in points off turnovers.
- Wednesday was the first time this season St. Bonaventure was not credited with a blocked shot.
