The Short Story: A second half filled with frustration ended with St. Bonaventure on the short end of another road loss, 64-62 on Wednesday at Richmond.
It was a tie game at 62-62 and the Bonnies had possession with 32 seconds left, but Charlon Kloof's shot was blocked and the Spiders' Kendall Anthony made a jumper at the other end with 5.4 seconds remaining. St. Bonaventure had one final chance but Kloof's pass to Ndoye was errant and time expired.
Anthony scored 16 of his 28 points in the second half to lead the Spiders, who trailed the Bonnies 36-31 at halftime.
St. Bonaventure made only five of its 26 shots (19 percent) in the second half, hanging in the game thanks to 14-17 free throw shooting in that stanza.
The Bonnies fell to 3-5 in the A-10 and are now 0-4 in conference road games.
Matthew Wright led the Bonnies with 17 points while Youssou Ndoye had 15. Chris Dees, Marquise Simmons and Dion Wright scored six points apiece.
It was Richmond's first game without guard Cedric Lindsay, the third-leading scorer in the A-10 at 18 points per game. Lindsay will miss the rest of the season due to knee injuries.
Due to team travel, video highlights will be published on Thursday.
