Box Score The Bronx, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Fordham on Sunday afternoon in the Bronx.
After a scoreless first half, Fordham broke the silence in the 58th minute. Carlie Wagner buried a shot from close range to give the Rams the lead.
The Rams would extend their lead 12 minutes later. Jessica Widmann deposited a through ball in the back of the net to go up 2-0.
The St. Bonaventure offense struggled to gain momentum against the Rams. St. Bonaventure managed only five shots, with three of those on goal.
Senior Abby Maiello put St. Bonaventure on the board in the 89th minute. Maiello was awarded a penalty kick and buried the shot for her team-leading seventh goal of the season.
In goal, Beth Moore faced eight shots stopping six of them.

- St. Bonaventure has now lost six games in a row, including their first four conference games. During that stretch, the Bonnies have lost four games by one goal.
- Jessica Scruggs and Abby Maiello led the Bonnies in shots with both taking two apiece.
- With the goal, Maiello now ranks seventh in the conference in that category.
- Goalkeeper Beth Moore once again was tested often in the contest. The sophomore stopped six of the eight shots she faced.
Up Next: St. Bonaventure will return home Thursday Oct. 15th to face the Rhode Island Rams. Kick off is set for 7 pm at the Marra Athletic Complex.
